Distinguished Professor Biswajeet Pradhan Appointed as Managing Editor of Ingegneria Sismica

We are delighted to announce that Distinguished Professor Biswajeet Pradhan has joined Ingegneria Sismica (ISSN 0393-1420) as Managing Editor. His appointment marks an important milestone in the growth of the journal, strengthening its global outreach and academic excellence in earthquake engineering, geotechnics, and related interdisciplinary fields. Prof. Pradhan is an internationally recognized scientist in Geospatial Information Systems (GIS), remote sensing, image processing, geo-computing, machine learning, soft-computing applications, natural hazards, and environmental modeling. He is currently a Distinguished Professor at the Centre for Advanced Modelling and Geospatial Information Systems (CAMGIS), Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology, School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, University of Technology Sydney, Australia. He is consistently listed among the world’s most highly cited researchers by Clarivate Analytics and has been recognized as one of the world’s most influential scientific minds for five consecutive years. His exceptional contributions include: Over 832 research articles (770+ in SCI/SCIE journals) with 85,634 citations, an H-index of 149, and an i10-index of 744. 12 books and 70 book chapters authored in leading areas of geospatial sciences and hazard modeling. 55 Ph.D. students supervised, along with numerous MSc students. Recipient of 55 awards since 2006 for research, teaching, and service excellence. Holder of the Alexander von Humboldt Research Fellowship (Germany) and former Ambassador Scientist of the Humboldt Foundation. Recipient of the World Class Professor Award (Indonesia, 2018–2020). Prof. Pradhan has delivered 35 keynote and invited lectures at international conferences and served as Associate Editor and Editorial Board Member for more than 10 ISI-indexed journals. He has reviewed and edited over 3,300 research articles and is an active reviewer for prestigious research councils and foundations worldwide, including RCUK, European Science Foundation, Swiss NSF, Austrian Science Foundation, and Belgian Remote Sensing Program. With 23 funded research projects amounting to over USD 14 million, Prof. Pradhan has built a wide international research network across Malaysia, Germany, Norway, the Netherlands, Vietnam, Turkey, Thailand, South Korea, Mexico, Egypt, Canada, Iran, and Indonesia. As Managing Editor, Prof. Pradhan will play a pivotal role in guiding the strategic direction of the journal. While not involved in the day-to-day review process, his expertise will be sought for critical editorial cases, high-level decisions, and the promotion of the journal’s global impact. His leadership and vision are expected to significantly enhance the visibility, quality, and international standing of Ingegneria Sismica. Prof. Ileana Corbi Joins the Editorial Board of Ingegneria Sismica

We are pleased to announce that Prof. Ileana Corbi, Professor of Structural Mechanics at the Department of Civil, Building, and Environmental Engineering, University of Naples “Federico II,” has joined the Editorial Board of Ingegneria Sismica. Prof. Corbi has an extensive academic and research background in the field of Structural Mechanics, with expertise spanning seismic engineering, structural dynamics and control, seismic isolation design, and the structural restoration of monumental heritage. She has authored and co-authored over 120 scientific publications in journals, books, and conference proceedings, and has been actively involved in numerous national and international research projects funded by institutions such as the European Union, CNR, and Protezione Civile. Her distinguished career includes membership in prestigious scientific bodies such as ICOMOS, ISCARSAH, ASCE, and IASS, as well as active participation in doctoral programs and advanced professional training. Prof. Keh-Jian Shou Joins the Editorial Board of Ingegneria Sismica

We are pleased to announce that Professor Keh-Jian Shou (Ph.D.) has joined the Editorial Board of Ingegneria Sismica (ISSN 0393-1420). Prof. Shou is a distinguished scholar in rock mechanics, engineering geology, trenchless technologies, and geohazard analysis. He has been with the Department of Civil Engineering at National Chung-Hsing University, Taiwan, since 1994, where he has also served as Department Head (2010–2013). He earned his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Minnesota, U.S.A. (1993).
